Having stayed in a Four Seasons property the night before I checked in to ESPACIO, my standards were high – and ESPACIO far surpassed them. From the moment I arrived to the time I departed, the entire staff provided a seamless experience that left me impressed over and over again. The hotel’s butler, Wesley, was more thoughtful than I could have imagined, arranging an incredible in-room breakfast that delivered on even the smallest of my preferences. Then there are the rooms – expansive suites that cover an entire floor complete with a roomy private balcony and outdoor Jacuzzi. I woke up to the most incredible view of Waikiki Beach. It’s amazing how you can feel so relaxed and at peace while situated in the middle an incredible, cosmopolitan city. Don’t miss the rooftop infinity pool (there is a spa on the same level) and onsite dining at Mugen – all very worthy of a visit. , I’ve never been to a hotel with more thoughtful, personalized service and amenities. Considering there are only 9 rooms, I feel very lucky to have secured a reservation and can’t wait to come back.

Service above and beyond for every guest. They really do care about every person, and their experience to be special and every detail cared for. We were able to enjoy the private luxury that every discerning traveler deserves.
Amazing location, Amazing property, Amazing service

Outstanding service - personalised and attentive without being intrusive.
Hugely spacious accommodation - complete relaxation in the heart of the buzz of Waikiki. Complete win, as I get to chill while my wife and kids get the action they're seeking.
Love this place - will absolutely be back!!
The best place to stay on oahu.

There is no place like the espacio. The rooms are amazing...from the ocean view to the detail of the pillows, everything is exquisite. The ohana at the espacio is above and beyond. We celebrated our birthday, and the staff took care of everything. We made a special request for afternoon tea and it was delightful. We are looking forward to our next stay!

After reading reviews tried to check in here today from Halekulani as have had 10 days there. Really odd set up. Basic apartment building entrance. Lots of people downstairs but nobody could show lobby. Then lobby not open. Pretty sure all the positive reviews are PR bluff. Definitely not high end service so flagged and back to Halekulani, which is ok but not amazing rooms. Note Espacio also has one of those Israeli? moisturiser brand salesmen hawking outside. All together seems a bit low rent.
We are a family of 6 ages 8-17. We loved this hotel - very clean, plenty of space, the staff was very welcoming. Loved being able to walk to restaurants, stores, bars and the beach. Loved the big beach towels we could borrow every day and the free valet parking. We paid for the higher floor room and i feel it was worth it - the views were amazing. I loved this place and would def stay there again.

Staff and rooms were great! Tracy helped my family and I settle in and she made everything so easy and quick. There were no problems here, everything was great. Oceanfront was beautiful and it was not busy like other hotels.
Beautiful views

Extremely helpful and courteous staff. From the check-in, to the valet, everyone was really helpful. Although expensive, the room and views were great. Walking in, this place doesn't have a grand lobby and waiting room like most hotels, but it more than makes up for it via the view from its room.
Highly recommended!

Staff and grounds were exceptional, very friendly, valet parking was great, the room met our families needs along with a great view, pool and grill
area while on the small side were very nice. We will be back again.
Second visit here in 2 years, best place to stay for a family in waikiki
LA-to-Hawaii
(Irvine, Pennsylvania)
We stayed at this hotel recently during our 1 week vacation in Oahu. This was our second stay and the experience was even better
1. the location is great - beach is right across the street and the entrance to the hotel is tucked away in a side street -- the area is not the busiest or noisiest part of waikiki
2. the hotel is not as intimidating as some of other larger resorts - it truly feels like a home away from home. front desk staff are very courteous and helpful, valet crew is A+ and housekeeping is top notch. I have spent more $$ on fancy hotels in LA and San Diego and came away disappointed compared to what I saw here
3. the rooms are huge and only a few per floor - so it never feels super crowded at any point in time. The balconies are big, kitchen and bathrooms are nicely upgraded and everything works as it should
4. If you are looking for a 2BR type accommodation, do check them out before signing up for any of the other larger resorts. It is great value for the $$
This hotel is situated at the very edge of the Waikiki beach. It was still within a good walk, or a short bus ride to the center of the chaos. I much prefer to be somewhere that is not so chaotic. The view is amazing, the room was so comfortable, and I will put it on my list as a place to return to.
Fantastic stay during Covid reopening

(Portland, Oregon)
We had the very best experience at the Ilikai and would very likely stay here again on a future visit! It had been 11 years since we went to Oahu, and we arrived one week after the hotel reopened (closed for a year during Covid). We didn't know what to expect, but everything worked out very well.
The hotel lobby is very inviting, clean, open air. We liked the ice cream parlor and Duke's Lagoon surf shop. The elevators are limited to four people per car, which we greatly appreciated and were glad when guests mostly adhered to it.
The front desk will loan beach towels and beach chairs---just ask. You can take them over to Waikiki Beach or to Magic Island, which is next door to the marina and is a great spot to swim, especially with kids.
The bellman, valet staff, security staff, housekeeping staff, Ilikai shop keepers, and most of the front desk staff and pool attendants, were friendly and helpful. They were working hard to make everyone feel safe and welcome. It could not have been easy for them after being in quarantine lockdown for so long and then just newly reopening. It seemed that we had better service when we made the effort to be friendly and kind to the ones who were not as outgoing.
Our room was 2504, and it had the best full ocean view of any hotel room we have ever had! We ate every meal on the lanai and cooked our breakfasts and dinners in the well-supplied and super-clean kitchen. The bathroom and kitchen looked newly redone and were immaculate. Anytime we needed something like towels, it was a quick call to the front desk and they were delivered to the room. They did not provide daily housekeeping due to Covid, but we liked it that way because we could be in the room and not worry about holding up the housekeepers. Assembling the sofa bed was quick and easy, and everything we needed to do that was provided. The sofa bed was not very comfortable due to a thin mattress, but the king bed was great. There was a safe for valuables. Linens were very nice!
Valet parking was $28 per night, but it was worth it, and the valets were very efficient and friendly.
We also received a daily Honolulu Star-Advertiser newspaper delivered to our door each morning, and it was nice to read the local news and the comics/crossword/horoscope on the lanai with a cup of Hawaiian coffee.
The fitness center on the lobby level was closed, but the two pools were both open. Occasionally, the main pool was full (15 person limit), and we had to wait to use it, but we appreciated them limiting it unlike at the next door Hilton Hawaiian Village were the pools were loaded with swimmers.
We booked our vacation package for hotel and Avis rental car through Costco
Travel, and I highly recommend it.
There are six floors, I think, that are managed by the hotel (top five floors and I think floor 2). Otherwise, they are all condos that are owned/rented through a separate management group that has received many unflattering Tripadvisor reviews. I can assure you that the hotel room we had was updated and clean as you would expect a hotel room to be.
A grocery tip: The Foodland Farms on the ground floor level of the Ala Moana Center a block away from the Ilikai is a great place to stock up on prepared food items. It is a feast for the senses!

In town for a wedding, rented 3 rooms, one on the 2nd floor, one on the 8th floor and a suite on the 13th floor. All rooms need updating. The 13th floor suite was horrible, worn out couches were partially covered with an industrial cover, needed to call housekeeping for bed sheets to cover them. My room was on the 2nd floor. Grey rug needs to be professionally cleaned or replaced. Never entered the 8th floor room. Fortunately we did not spend a lot of time in the rooms. Great location.
Very likely to revisit.

If I had to give and constructive criticism it would only be that the pullout be wasn't very comfy, the internet could be faster, and that the wind made the sliding door whistle on the 25th floor. Great place.
This has been another great visit for me. Never fails. Always the best service and a friendly staff. I’m a frequent visitor and the service is so consistent. I’d like to thank Eveline Shiroma and her staff as well as the valet staff for doing a great job during these very trying times. See you guys again in May. Aloha
Worst experience of my life. Negative 5 stars.
anthonybE6840ZI
The manager is the single worst person I have ever met in my life. Every person on the staff act like lifeless robots. They are the most awful people I have ever met.
They called police and had me arrested for violating quarantine because I parked where they told me because their valet wouldn't park my car. The entire staff knew I had a negative COVID test and I was leaving in a day. They could’ve given me a warning but sent me to jail instead. You people are disgusting.
If you want the worst vacation of your entire life stay here.
And to respond to you, staff didn’t answer the front desk phone. I had to leave my room just to talk to the front desk. You are lucky I don’t sue.
Any decent human being would have given me a warning before having me arrested. However the staff at this hotel are not normal. They do not have emotion. They send guests to jail when they are innocent.
I would not come back if you paid me don’t make me laugh.

Excellent service. You will be treated like family, very convenient and close to almost everything, shopping center, 5 mins walk to the beach. Valet parking and restaurant in property and right across the hotel.
~12 Parking Stalls Maximum ($40+/night each). Extra $25/night + Hotel Rate/Fee. Small Rooms. Worn out place.
ReadySetGo12345678
First, I booked this hotel with credit card points. I arrived at about 9:20 PM Hawaii Time (12:30 AM my time) and was tired. I paid in advance with points and when I arrived they charged me an additional $25+ fee per night which they claimed was for amenities (really to pay for breakfast); something they didn't tell me when I called ahead. Sauna and lobby bathrooms closed. I felt that they should have been more upfront about this fee as I was never told on the booking site or when I called the hotel in advance. It was either pay the additional fee or go somewhere else.
They have ~12 spaces for parking which they charge $40+/night (you leave, you loose). This caused me to have to spend 40 min. per night trying to find streetside parking. Anyone going to stay at this hotel be prepared to find parking along Ala Wai Blvd. They failed to partner with neighboring hotels to provide better accommodations for parking. There is another small lot behind the hotel, but it looks shady, low traffic, and is unattended; this small lot has about 14 stalls. Even if you wanted to stay in either the hotel lot or the lot behind the hotel, they were full most of the time due to limited parking availability. They also did not disclose in advance about this parking problem on their website.
The breakfast is outside under an awning; birds come and peck at the breakfast food and are present on the tables. I didn't mind the birds in the eating areas, but did mind the birds getting on the food serving table. While they did have free breakfast, it had muffins, oranges and pineapple, coffee, cereal, milk, and toast--better than a donut and Tang, but not a great breakfast as there was nothing hot (excluding coffee and toast), and definitely not worth an extra $25+/night. The cereal tasted stale and the oranges were hybrids between grapefruits/oranges and tasted bitter and bland.
The rooms are older and worn out and reflective of 1960's/1970's construction. The carpet is old and dated, the bathroom was kind of yellowish tub and walls. The rooms were small. I stayed on the 5th floor. It appears from reading the comments that the rooms with kitchenettes are newer and better serviced.
I am mostly mad about the parking and $25+/night fee not disclosed in advance. I called in advance and was not told about this. I tried to resolve this with the manager after the trip, but did not receive a call back.
Highly recommend that you get a COVID test before arriving in Hawaii (we did) AND upload it to the Hawaii state site to show a negative test. The hotel will check you upon arrival. If you don't upload the test, you MUST quarantine. This is not the hotel's fault, but it does make extra steps.
The good thing that I liked is that they took points and commend them for this.
Felt like family!
LocalGirl76
We had an awesome experience and made the best of a family emergency. We were able to get reservations on short notice when our mother was admitted to the hospital in Honolulu. We had everything from Tsunami Watch, hotel evac, flood warnings and COVID quarantine. Every evening when we returned to the hotel from a long arduous day we were greeted like family or OHANA. The staff was fantastic, and friendly. From Olivia and Rachel at the front desk, to our Valets Michael and Marcus. Our car was always ready for us in the morning, after a nice continental breakfast. Especially loved the fresh pineapple every morning. The room with kitchenette was perfect and we had a nice view of the ocean. Especially loved the Japanese toilet. We will stay again when we come back this summer and look forward to enjoying the city and walking to the beach which is a nice walk. Mahalo!
As always, such welcoming staff members during our stay here. We are locals here on Oahu, but we like to take a getaway, staycation trip every now and then. With COVID still going on, the staff members do a great job and going that extra mile to make you feel safe during your stay.
Wait a few years for repairs

My husband and I stayed here for the winter last year, and really enjoyed the location, our view of Diamond Head, having two bedrooms, a kitchen and parking. We liked it so much we booked our return trip before we left to head home for the summer. We were aware some plumbing and air conditioning work was to begin in the spring, and last throughout the summer. The hotel/condo association decided not to do the work during covid, despite the hotel being shut down, and very few residents in the building. 10 days into our 6 month stay, November 10th, we get notice that there was a “catastrophic plumbing failure” and we would not have use of our kitchen sink. One week later and 2 additional days of no water at all (which also means no AC) we were informed that it wouldn’t be fixed until mid-January. We did place a call with the condo manager, Craig, to try to understand what was happening, and he was very rude and dismissive of our circumstances, and not willing to work with us to perhaps move to another condo in the building, etc. Note that this is only at one end of the building. BUT the whole building will need to be repaired at some point.
Best to wait a few years for all the repairs to be completed and come back, otherwise you’ll have to put up with constant disruption due to repairs.

This is actually our second time staying at the Aston Waikki Sunset. The first time was great and the location is awesome so we thought we would book here again. We found the staff at the front desk to not be very friendly from the minute we checked in. We asked about the hospitality shuttle that the hotel provides and the staff member just acted like he knew nothing about it. There was another guest who overheard our conversation and she mentioned that she had been there for a few days and had been paying for cabs because no one told her about the shuttle service. Clients should be made aware of the services that they are paying for in the resort fee. Housekeeping was also not up to standard. The hotel as a whole needs a facelift starting with the Lobby. I definitely would not be staying at the Aston Sunset again nor would I recommend it. It's sad because the location is perfect.
WARNING :BLACK STUFF COMING OUT OF AC.
Odyssey617496
Black particles over everything floor, rugs, walls, drapes, toilet seat, walls. Would not recommend at all for the elderly or young children. Or a service animals.Building is aware of this situation slowly switching out air conditioners over the next years. Read other reviews. This is more a public service than anything else. The rugs in the halls are filthy. I WOULDNT The men this property or to people with children elderly. Definitely nobody with respiratory issues at all. Location is great. Front desk staff is great! Building management terrible they should be ashamed to expose the public to this!

We stayed here in January 2020. Our room was on the 19th floor with Diamond Head and ocean views. We picked this condo because of the kitchenette and its price. I loved having the ability to cook our meals in the condo, BBQ, or walk to a restaurant. I also like the fact that each floor had its own coin operated laundry. It is convenient that we can don't have to pack lots for our 10 day holiday. Our room was located right beside the elevators however there was no excess noise from them. I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff were cheerful and helpful when we had questions. A special shout out to Sandi, she loves her job and you can tell .
didnt believe i had made a proper reservation through the airport. showed them a negative covid test and travel qr. where Lance my front desk attendant then went and spoke with his manager for a long time.

Buyer beware hotel is really old, rooms are outdated and paint is peeling. Staff was decent but really didn’t help with things to do. The hotel restaurant is closed due to Covid-19 The pool also has weird “COVID” hours it closes at 3 which is the hottest point of the day.

The palm trees fit the look of the hotel. But the inside could be better. I would maybe recommend staying here again but based on other reviews it would be less likely. And one more thing. I saw blood stains behind the hotel. What's going on back there??

Dated basic hotel in need of a facelift. Expensive as well for a moderate room, everything is relatively close in Waikiki so location was ok. Staff were very helpful with all my requests. It was booked through a travel agent and was staying solo so I also had to pay a single supplement which made the price expensive considering the facilities. Breakfast was included i tried it one didn't bother the other three mornings you can read into that.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay. The breakfast that was included was enjoyable. I actually enjoyed eating noodles for breakfast 🙂The pancakes were very good as well. Parking is expensive but we found free parking on the street by the canal . The hotel is close to the beach, the international market and many restaurants. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn’t use the pool, it is very small.
Stayed here recently for a few weeks and enjoyed my stay. The location is centrally located to many restaurants and shops and only blocks away from the beach. The staff was also super helpful during my stay. And overall you can't beat the great pricing! I recommend checking them out!
Great customer service, great prices, great room, cleanliness and perfect location.

All the staff at the front desk were so helpful and professional. Great location, clean rooms. Nice balcony facing the street for a view. Would definitely stay here again. The bathroom was clean with great hot water and good pressure. The beds were comfortable and clean. A few restaurants nearby to choose from and many more just a short walk away. We used to stay at a different aqua on the other side of Waikiki, but now I think we will stay at this one when we come to Honolulu.

I had a horrible experience with this hotel. Very dirty. Did not look like the pictures. Not near the beach. Very seedy area. Dark and did not seem safe, especially for families. It is not worth saving the extra few dollars to stay here.
This hotel is awesome

Pre Covid, this hotel was a 10 star hotel ! When the pool closed and the restaurant as well, this hotel sadly lost its beset qualities. When the restaurant and pool reopens, this hotel will once again become the best and most loved and unique hotel in Honolulu. No hotel for the price will be able to compete with this hotel when the pool and restaurant reopen. Thank You for reading my review

Locals who want to stay in town and enjoy town - great place to rest and enjoy what Ala Moana Area has to offer. We wanted to enjoy the restaurants and shops but didn't want the long drive back to the country side - so we stayed in town and enjoyed our little mini staycation.

DO NOT BOOK!!
I booked this hotel March 3 for this week and prepaid for my stay!! I showed up on April 15th after flying for 13 hours at 9pm for them to tell me my reservation was for April 1-7. I pulled up my email to show them this was not true and I never would have booked that since I’ve had these flights since beginning of 2021.
They would not work with me directly and would only talk to my agent (3am at home) and said to book a new reservation. After back and forth we went to do it since I had no choice and they said they were sold out and I couldn’t stay there!!
I suspect they cancelled my reservation since the price was now triple!
Luckily the doubletree by Hilton saved the day but I had to shell out $600 more this week and now have to fight to get the money back from this hotel since I was “a no show” that was THEIR ERROR!
VIEW!!! Great Location, and Value
Mike F
(Peekskill, New York)
This is an older and small hotel in the greatest possible location. It is directly across the street from the wall enclosed swimming area at Waikiki beach. The location is what makes this hotel an unbelieveable value. It is at least 30% cheaper (at least in non-covid times) than any other hotel on the beach. That said, this hotel is older and very small. But if you know this going in, it is FANTASTIC. First, the rooms are tiny. The two double beds barely fit. But when yo get to the balcony (lanai) you realize it was all worth it. I paid for the top delux level, which is one of the three rooms directly facing the front of the hotel (it is a round building). My room looked directly athteh beach. I was on teh 13th floor, with a view to love. Every morning I woke to the birds in the incredible banyan tree across the street and surfers catching waves before their days start. Like all hotels in resort locations, they charge a resort fee so they do not have to share all their rate with hotel and travel sites. As long as you know this going in and factor it into the rate, you should be fine as it is still the best deal on the beach. Just be aware of it as it is clear as can be on their site and on hotels . com. You do not get any perks for the resort fee other than use of beach towels and dvd movie rentals for free. The location is right near everything. The breakfast joint in front, Eggs and things, is AMAZING and you get 10% off for being a hotel guest. People line up 30 minutes before it opens, so if you want to get in, be there at least 20 minutes early or you will not get in, its a small place. The staff was great to us, very friendly and helpful with recommendations. OVerall a trully great experience. Its small, a little bit old, but a great place with teh best value.

You can't beat the location! In the heart of Waikiki directly across the big blue ocean and walking distance to everywhere in Waikiki. Great customer service. Only thing to be aware, there is VERY limited parking which is only available 1st come 1st serve, so that may be a challenge if it fills up. Outside of that, wonderful lil gem! We'll definitely be back again!

We absolutely loved this hotel. The price was great and John at the front desk is one of the reasons we will be back to stay again. The location is perfect, our room was clean and updated. We really enjoyed our stay
If you're like me, and are not looking for the typical Waikiki hustle and bustle of tourists, this is a great option. Located in downtown Honolulu it's a short walk to several shops for essentials, with a full size drugstore at the base of the building (Longs). On site parking is reasonably priced for Oahu, and typical rooms come with a kitchenette, basic dishes, half fridge, etc.
DO NOT RESERVE A STAY UNTIL AFTER COVID ZERO CANCELLATION POLICY!

(Kinnelon, New Jersey)
We stayed there about 4 years ago because it was close to the airport after inter island flights and it was fine. I was raised on the Big Island and come home every year. This time I booked again for the same reason, coming in from Kauai and leaving the next day for the mainland and had no early flights to Oahu. I booked through Expedia because we needed a car also. We ordered 6 Covid tests, arranged testing before we leave and flying direct flight front row of first class to keep as safe as possible. Well, They announced yesterday that Kauai was back on shut down. I just cancelled our entire 8 day trip, too many shut downs, of which I totally understand, I don't want to bring it to my beautiful home.
They would not refund the nights stay, I understand hotel policy, however, I would expect some type of exceptions be made under these circumstances. Every other hotel, air, excursions, rental vehicles were able to be cancelled except this one hotel. Absolutely ridiculous especially given the need for tourism dollars in Hawaii. Sad.

If you are working in the downtown area it is greatly located. The lobby area is nice along with nice views from the upper floors. There is also a good number of shopping and eating options in the area, and even within a very easy walk to McD's and Walmart.
Parking is available but is a bit of a pain to access as you have to change elevators to access floors 3-9 which is the parking areas. It is also can get quite costly at about $20 a day.
Now the bad, the Apt we stayed in was decently clean, had a decent bed, but the rest of the furniture and accommodations were cheap. Even the kitchen utensils, silverware, and cookware were pathetic. Since I have now found out these are condo units and owned by individuals, I guess it makes sense that some are better than others. This room wasn't terrible but it could definitely use some upgrades.
This is downtown, so after about 6 pm all the business people are gone and all that is left is the homeless and they are EVERYWHERE. Not the fault of the hotel but Oahu has a serious homeless problem and it shows, in this area, at night.

I checked in on Friday 6 March around 2pm. My room wasn't ready but front desk found 3608 available so I assigned this one. When I walked in it smelled like cigarettes had been smoked in it but more importantly, I was amazed at the size of this room. I was greeted with a fully kitted out kitchen (except an oven) that could fit three people easily. After this was a huge lounge, great carpet, leather lounge suite, decent size HD 40" or more TV with cable, and seating for at least five people. Probably more given the space it commanded. A slide door separates it from the master bedroom (that's how I would describe it), including another TV screen, office desk and this room was also huge. It also has a washer and dryer and ample wardrobe space. I think the ensuite needs an upgrade especially the bathtub, the tv in the master room doesn't work, and the internet too.
I called front desk and spoke with Niz. We both tried trouble shooting looking at the equipment but that wasn't the problem. Niz called the internet provider and they couldn't find what the problem was. I couldn't log in to internet and I had two university guest lectures to give in: 12-3pm and 6-8pm. It wasn't until 1am in the morning when Niz rescued me and put me in 3805 so I can get an internet connection. Wow! This room was awesome. It was certainly an upgrade. It was immaculate and a step up from 3608.
Niz has been at the Aston for a decade or more and an able supervisor. She went all out to make sure my stay was comfortable so I would like to commend Niz.
Couple vacation

Very very dissapointed with the hotel, it is not as advertised! The room smelled and the furniture was outdated and old. Turns out it is a Time-share room which I was not informed of at any stage, thus the lived in smell!! We were moved the following day to another room, better view but still SMELLED! Bed(s) were old and uncormfortable. All in all, a very poor start to our vacation. The restaurnat in the lobby doesnt even belong to the hotel either. Overall, not as advertised, expensive for what is on offer, and no contact with management either during or subsequent to the fiasco. The front staff were very nice and tied to help in a situation that obvioulsy they have no control over.
The only advantage this hotel has is the location. The rooms and building are very outdated. The beds were very uncomfortable and old. The elevators consistently had issues. The interior hallways were in very poor shape. The door lock would stick. It wasn't worth the money saved. Skip it if you can.
Affordable condo close to Waikiki beach

This condo was only a 3-5 minute walk from the beach and 1/2 the cost of beachfront hotels. Was easily walkable to International Marketplace and restaurants too. All staff encountered were friendly. The building and the rooms are old and outdated but that is not a big deal to me. Everything worked and was clean. The lanai was small but worked for two people (would not have worked well for more than that). There was a small view of the ocean and the mountains. The walls are thin but there weren't many people on my floor due to Covid so wasn't a big deal. Traffic noise got louder as the week went on too. Occupancy definitely picked up by the time we left (close to Spring Break). Parking garage was fine. Lowest prices of any hotel around too! Most of the recreation deck was closed (I think for remodeling or repairs?) The grills are "pay to use" and you aren't supposed to bring down glass but everything in your unit is glass so not sure how that was supposed to work. Don't know if there are grill tools there or not. The pool was a decent size and the water felt good, not too cold. The hot tub was a little small but there are two so it worked out ok. Each tub fit 4 adults well with distancing but could hold 8 in normal times. No pool towels are provided so you have to take bath towels. Complementary movies and PlayStation games are available but we did not use either. The bed was comfortable but wobbled whenever anyone rolled over. AC unit is in the living area so if you close the bedroom door it got stuffy in there. Bathroom was small but again, with only two of us, was doable. Have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. We have stayed at Aston properties before and have not been disappointed. I will take an older couch and carpet and a short walk to the beach to save on expenses. Everything worked, was clean and staff was friendly. I felt safe in the area walking by myself. That is what matters to me.

It was a nice relaxing hotel!!! However the elevators took to long and there service wasn’t the greatest had to go down stairs to get my own shampoo and stuff and the security at the pool was very rude.
Misleading! Heavy construction until April 30, 2021
LumC99
My stay is from March 29 - April 4, 2021. Hence, I have just arrived, still here, and contemplating on going to another hotel. First, they do not tell you that their property is under construction until end of April, 2021. First day I arrived, there was no water for a few hours... not good when you just really wanna shower after a long plane ride. Next morning at 8am I was awaken by construction work, LOUD drilling on the walls that lasted for hours!!! Their room floors are soo dirty. Their hallways are filled with construction dust and dirt. For $200 per night, I can definitely find a better place. The one thing that upsets me most is, they don’t disclose that this property is under construction. Very misleading!
Great place for price!

Overall this place looks good however the pictures are misleading as to what the room actually looks like just do not have high expectations if you book here! The rooms were dated and not as pictured! Parking reasonably priced! Nice staff!
Great hotel for family and kids as they offer one bedroom suits with full kitchen. Great location and friendly staff. Very close to the beach and walking distance to lots of restaurants and grocery stores.
OHANA STAY-CATION
hibci
Had to get my keiki out of our zip code and chose to stay here for our little stay-cation.
The entrance to the lobby smelled especially clean, which kept me at ease in the midst of this pandemic. Staff was very nice and helpful when needed. Elevators was limited to only one person/family at a time. The panoramic city view was beautiful from our fifteenth floor rooms. We had two rooms, right next to each other. They don’t have any adjoining rooms. They have valet parking with in and out privileges.
My kids enjoyed themselves so much, they didn’t want to leave, even right up to check out time. They enjoyed the pool the most, especially at night, since it was heated!
We enjoyed multiple walks to different restaurants nearby.
Overall, an enjoyable stay!!

We were very pleased with our room Great location not to far from the beach, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here and recommend this place to friends and family.
Clean, Comfortable and Affordible.

We enjoyed our stay at Luana Waikiki and found it had a quaint charm that the big hotels lack. There are plenty of options to eat and shop within walking distance. Our room looked out over a beautiful park and had a great view of sunrise over the city.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Great place to just get away and chill. Had some special request and they accommodated without problems. Rooms were simple and bed was comfortable. Plus the location is great.
The property needs some upgrading work. The A/C in our room 2319 was cranking so loud at night that we cannot sleep. We requested to be moved to another room, and we were given room 4318. This room's A/C is not as loud as the one in room 2319, but it is leaking water from the condenser in the patio that I almost slipped. The water also sipped through the carpet, but I found out about it when we are about to check-out already. The bathroom exhaust fan in this room is cranking loud like a steam boat and can really be a nuisance. Thankfully, it is turned off when not in use - unlike the A/C that has to be turned on all day long. Staff are friendly.
I’d go there again

Visited in march 2021 with my husband and 2 kids.
Pros:
- Walk in distance to Waikiki beach
- Price
- Has a small refrigerator, coffee machine and stove.
- Lobby personal were always helpful and kind. We switched towels with ease, asked to get something printed and it was no issue, got advice on surrounding areas.
- There is a laundry room! Not that I want to do laundry on my vaca, but I used it and was very happy to go on the next island with a suitcase full of clean clothes.
- Pool and hot tub was nice, didnt expect to use it, but we did.
Cons:
-Parking cost (35 a day) and the person there always seemed annoyed.
- There were only 3 chairs total in the room. One inside, and two on the porch. So the 4 of us we couldn’t sit together on the porch as we thought we will after a long flight.
- Washing dishes is done in the bathroom small sink. They give dish soap but no sponge.
-No cleaning service is fine by me with COVID restrictions, but they should at least provide a broom given people are likely to bring in sand.
-bed wasn’t so comfy, but I didn’t expect much either.
Good for the price!

It’s in need of some updates and not as clean as it could’ve been but for the price it was pretty good. The security is better than most and the pool area has been updated with nice grills to cook out on. There is also a laundry room so you can bring less clothes with you. Lots of amenities for the price and a friendly staff.
$35 for parking everyday

This was Horrible. $35 for parking everyday, I found roaches in my room and security was also rude. Me personally I wouldn’t stay here again. I would’ve gotten a much better deal somewhere else. Such a shame.
Great experience in Waikiki

This was a great one bedroom place, with plenty of amenities. Enjoyed it being so close to all the stores and restaurants. The pool and hot tub were also a great place to take a break. Overall great stay, and welcome to the island.
Even if this hotel is not 5 star, is good for a short stay, with a good location, just a few steps from the beach, and friendly attention from employees. The service on the rooms is good and friendly. Average hotel.
Excellent service!

The room and service was excellent! The location was perfect for our staycation. There are many eateries nearby. The coin laundry was convenient. The staff were courteous and friendly. Thank you very much!
This hotel is very affordable !

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The price is absolutely right. The upgrades are good, too. I'm not sure when the hotel was last refurbished, but I love what the hotel looks like now ! I came for a peaceful and rejuvenating stay, and that is exactly what I got at Ewa Hotel this year. Thank you Ewa Hotel !

Good for quanatee. Due the virus was a lot of restriction so, couldn't rate the ammity. Overall stay for the 10 days was good. We're able to delivery food and personal items to family member. Evan and the front desk clerks was very helpful and patient.
Older hotel, over priced, amazing staff

The hotel was decent And it’s definitely a “stayable” hotel, but it is an older hotel the lobby looks renovated but, you can really tell it’s old once u enter the elevator hallways and rooms. The amenities, carpet and kitchenette are old. The hotel is overpriced in my opinion but I guess because of its prime location they feel like they can charge resort prices & there is no pool. They ask for a $200 deposit Which I thought was excessive for the quality. The staff was the best thing about the hotel really friendly and super helpful. I checked into my room easily. Only had one hiccup after settling into the room I went to shower and open the curtain and the shower was leaking and the tub was clogged and full of water & backup debris after calling the front desk they moved me to a new room. I will mention that I got a kamaaina (hawaii resident) deal so it costed less for me and I didn’t have to pay amenities fee and that was great this and the staff is the reason for the 3rd star otherwise I’d give it 2 stars.
Loved our corner room on the 7th floor with adjoining room for the kids! We had Waikiki on one side , and Diamond Head on the other! Super convenient to everything, and the Tiki restaurant by the pool was awesome. Sad there is no room service, but we found plenty of places to eat. Front desk and the valet were super accommodating for everything we needed! Room is basic, but clean and cozy - no issues! Would 100% stay here again!
Amazing

This is my third time staying at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. You cannot go wrong. The staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean and the location is excellent. You can rent a car from Avis in the lobby. You can book all of you sightseeing adventures in the lobby. There is a great bar, again in the lobby and you are literally right across the street from the beach.
Amazing hotel experience for my birthday solo trip!
IJL32681
Wow, where to begin. I recently stayed at the Aston (recommended by my wonderful travel agent), and truly, I had the most amazing experience! I stayed for 6 days/5 nights solo for my birthday, and everyone at the hotel made me feel so special from the moment I arrived until the day I checked out. I was fortunate to get a room on the top 25th floor overlooking the beach, which I was told prior would look like a postcard, and it sure did! I was obsessed with my gorgeous view, favorite part of my trip by far! I loved Tikis on the main floor too, which I went to every night and the whole staff there too made me feel right at home. Everyone is so friendly at the Aston. It's in a perfect location too right across from the beach, next to shops and walking distance to everything you need for a perfectly fun, relaxing, beautiful vacation in Waikiki Beach! I can't say enough good things. I had the best time ever on my birthday trip, thanks very much in part to the Aston! I can't wait to go back! :)

Stayed here for 11 nights convenient location rooms are simple but the view of the pool and ocean was amazing.
2 minute walk to the ocean and plenty of food and shopping.
Beaches are clean and everything is pretty much open.
One word - Horrible
LBCguy2021
Old, dirty rooms and they only clean after 6 days due to COVID. Ironically, don’t you need to clean MORE because of COVID. Old hotel, toilet is VERY low to floor and didn’t flush. We paid for an upgraded ocean view room - it was next to the restaurant with live music which made napping during the impossible. They have a stupid resort fee but no beach chairs on Sunday. Sink in bathroom didn’t drain. Slider hard to open. Our room was not updated since 1990s.
