As the Maui community continues to rebuild and recover from the August 2023 wildfire disaster, we invite you to support the mindful resurgence of tourism. While there are still major challenges to overcome, Maui needs visitors to avoid further economic loss. Now more than ever, you can make a difference.

Visitors Are Welcomed

With the exception of Lahaina, which remains closed to the public until further notice, visitors are welcomed and encouraged to travel to Maui to help boost the local economy. This helps keep and create jobs for residents.

While Lahaina remains inaccessible, we encourage you to learn about its historical and cultural significance and consider how you can help support its future.

Traveling with Aloha

When visiting Maui, we invite you to be a positive force in the community by:

• Sharing Aloha – We kindly ask you to bring your spirit of aloha, compassion, and mindfulness. Many hotels, including ours, are providing housing assistance to residents who have been displaced by the fires, including some of our own associates.
• Supporting Local – Maui is home to incredible entrepreneurs who rely on their businesses to sustain themselves and their families. Enjoy the rich offerings of local restaurants and shops, providing you with a true taste of Hawaii while helping residents rebuild their lives.
• Volunteering – If you are seeking a meaningful experience that directly connects you with those who have been affected by the wildfires, consider volunteering to support ongoing recovery efforts.
